Touring in Saskatchewan:

grades 1 -3 in a classroom setting.

Farming, Origins of Food

FACS

This puppet theatre production is guaranteed to entertain and educate young audiences about the realities of modern livestock and poultry production in an imaginative yet factual way. Join Faith as she hunts for the missing ingredients for her breakfast. Where do you get eggs from anyway? What do they feed pigs?A visit to the FACS Farm in Friendly Saskatchewan tells us all the answers! Faith meets Happy the horse, Moona the milk cow, Cuddles the chicken, Precious the pig and Hilda the beefy heifer. Featured at several venues, including schools and libraries during Education Week, Tales from the FACS Farm is an engaging and creative way to teach children about farming in Saskatchewan.

A Prairie Life
based on the books by Jo Bannatyne-Cugnet, adapted by Wide Open

grades K -6 in a gymnasium setting, up to 275 students.

Curriculum Connections: Reading, Literacy, Prairie Life, Social Studies, Multiculturalism

Including teacher guide and classroom activities.

Wide Open is thrilled to present A Prairie Life an all new puppet show based on the best selling books by Jo Bannatyne-Cugnet, illustrated by Yvette Moore (A Prairie Year, Heartland, a Prairie sampler and A Prairie Alphabet).  This production will be our eighth year touring to schools across Saskatchewan and Alberta. This one hour show for Kindergarten to grade 6 features 30 of our outstanding Muppet-style hand puppets and a live narrator.  Full support online for this production including teacher’s reference materials, posters and video clips will be available starting September 2010.
