Wide Open Children’s Theatre is actively seeking Board Members and Volunteers!

1. Do you want to enrich the lives of children in Saskatoon?
   
2. Do you believe that live theatre encourages creativity, community and innovation?
3. Are you ready to devote a little time and energy to support Wide Open as they strive to reach an ever-expanding audience of young people?

Then we want you!

Wide Open Children’s Theatre (est.2001) presents a season of plays for children in Saskatoon and tours extensively throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta.  We believe that live theatre is an invaluable tool in the development of young people and are dedicated to creating exciting, outrageous shows that audiences of all ages can enjoy.  Their 10-year plan includes opening a dedicated children’s theatre space with room for classes and events.

Board members will be able to:

1. Attend board meetings
2. Actively fundraise and donate to Wide Open.
3. Be the face of Wide Open in the community, representing us to others and acting on the forefront of word of mouth advertising for Wide Open, its activities and performances.

Volunteers will be able to help us with one or more of the following:

1. Actively fundraise
2. Volunteer time to (some training and supplies provided, all abilities welcome):

   1. Build puppets
   2. Build stages (wood working)
   3. Paint backdrops
   4. Sew costumes or puppets
   5. Construct puppets/props with hot glue and other techniques.
   6. Assemble kits for fundraising in support of Wide Open.
3.  Donate time at fundraising activities and performances.
4. Bookkeeping
5. Sponsorships
