Performances:

Wide Open offers two different show lengths -
Half-Hour and One-Hour Shows.

Half hour performances involve the same stories as the one hour performances, but told in a shorter amount of time.
Half hour shows are intended for smaller attention spans - Children aged 3- 6.

One hour performances are intended for children ages 5-12 and adults!
Every weekend features one half-hour performance.


Both show formats are open to everyone regardless of age!

One Hour Matinees: Adults $15, Children $11
Half Hour Matinees: Adults $10, Children $8

Three classic tales featuring the number 3 adapted by Wide Open: The 3 Billy Goats Gruff, The 3 Little Pigs and Goldilocks and the 3 Bears.  Wide Open brings its outrageous sense of humour and larger than life puppetry to these well known stories for the whole family to enjoy!  This puppet show for all ages is packed full of audience participation and 3 stories like you’ve never heard them before!

At the Refinery - 609 Dufferin Ave., Saskatoon Dorothy Gale, and her dog Toto are blown away in a tornado and land in a fairyland named Oz. Here she meets - the Scarecrow, Tin Woodsman, and The Cowardly Lion. Together they go on a quest to see the Wizard of Oz, each of them seeking what they want most in life.

Alice falls down, down, down into a land of wonder, a place filled with white rabbits, mock turtles, screaming queens and mad hatters.  Join Wide Open as they present this tale for all ages using the unique technique of rod puppets and black theatre.  A perfect fit for the whole family over the holiday season.

*Part of the Live Five season, Alice in Wonderland will feature evening performances as well as afternoons.
