Danielle Byl Danielle is very excited to be performing in Wide Open’s Munsch to the Max School Tour! Graduating from the U of S Drama department in May of 2008, Danielle recently taught drama at Persephone Theatre ‘s Theatre School, as well as with the Lakeview and Henry Kelsey/ Mayfair Community Associations. Past Acting credits include: Elizabeth Rex, The Ends of the Earth and The Laramie Project (Greystone Theatre); The Valiant and Babel’s In Arms (U of S) and The Vagina Monologues (USSU Women’s Centre). Past Directing credits include: Bittergirl and Firing Francine (U of S). Coming up in the fall of 2010, Danielle will be making a big move to jolly ol’ England! A big thanks to Jacklyn for all of her patience and to her fellow puppeteers Ed and Ryan for making every day an adventure! |
![]() Ed Mendez |
Ed Mendez Ed Mendez is ecstatic to be working with Wide Open Theatre's Munch to the Max! Ed is no stranger to theatre, having performed shows with Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan, Greystone Theatre, local sketch comedy group Skit Skit, and in 2009 performed his first children's show at the Saskatchewan International Children's Festival with Memomo Theatre Projects' presentation of The Hero. Other favorite theatre credits include the Laramie Project, The Interview, and Cosi through the Greystone Theatre, and The Secret of All Literature and Lion In the Streets through the U of S Drama Department. Whenever Ed isn't acting, he's usually goofing off with his Nintendo Wii or slowly writing video sketch comedy, or more likely, talking to himself with sock puppets! |

![]() Ryan Fisher |
Ryan Fisher Ryan thinks that working with Wide Open is the best day job ever. I mean really, how much fun is it to make kids laugh every day? Ryan is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan. He recently shot a short film entitled "Good Friends" and he directed "For Want of a Knob" at last year's Fringe festival. His all time favorite project was an original show called "Dance!", a fun romp through the world of 80s pop music at Edison High, a crazy crazy school where all the cool kids dance to Michael Jackson. And if you wanna be cool, you better know how to dance! |

Praise for Wide Open’s Munsch Shows:
“We have had Wide Open perform in our school
for the past 3 years, and their performances
continue to be fresh and entertaining for
students and staff alike. The Wide Open
performance continues to be a
highlight of the school year.”
Jeff Fisher, Wynyard Elementary School
“...Outstanding! [They] really knew how to get
young children ready to sit and listen. They
prepped them well and the play was action
packed. We would like to see the Wide Open
Performance become an annual event in our
Community. ”
Sherry Detchon, Pewasenakwan Primary School., SK.
“More than a hunch you’ll love Munsch.
How is a presentation of children’s stories by
Robert Munsch like a rock concert? I’ll bet that
by the end of this well-constructed hour, Mom
and Dad are having as much fun as their kids.”
The Edmonton Sun
“...simplicity, sophistication and humour
... the masterful puppeteering of
THANK YOU VERY MUNSCH.”
